MAINTENANCE TIPS

In some cases, equipment just needs adjusting to keep working properly. We want to help your business save money by avoiding unnecessary repairs. If you find the tips below to be unsuccessful, we are always ready to help.

All Equipment:
We ask that our customers check the circuit breaker and/or plug.  Check thermostat settings.  Check on/off switches.
Owner's manuals usually have a section on trouble shooting problems; refer to it before calling a repair service.

Freezers & Coolers:
Check gasket condition to be sure the door is not pulling in unwanted hot air.  Clean condenser and evaporator coils.  Check for ice build up which may block circulation.  Keeping the doors closed when not in use to prevent freeze ups.

THE QUESTION IS: REPAIR OR REPLACE?                 ENERGY SAVING TIPS!

Ice Maker
Use only high-quality water filtration systems in your ice maker and change its filter every three to six months. Clean your system two times per year or have us do it for you! Don't forget that ice is a "ready to eat food" and needs to be kept sanitary.  Schedule a quarterly or bi annual cleaning through our service company.    "HOSHIZAKI CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS"

HVAC
Change or clean filters monthly.  Clean condenser and evaporator coils.  Blow out drain lines.  The air conditioning/heating system should be checked by a qualified professional twice a yearly to ensure the heating and cooling systems are working properly.  If your units are on ground level check for ant hills.  Ants can get in the contactor coil causing failure of the unit and the contactor.  Be sure to keep debris from around the unit and coils.  MORE INFO ON HVAC
